"What do you know about Uganda?"
I really don't know a lot. I can tell you that Uganda is in Africa and I can tell you that Uganda is probably a lot different than America. How different?
Once I opened up a $15.00 book and started reading. After the first two chapters I stumbled upon a little fact that devastated my way of thinking.
By owning that $15.00 book, or even being able to buy it if you wanted to, you are in the top 5% of the richest people in the world.
I have spent most of my life thinking I don't have enough of something, that I deserve something more or something better. What I didn't realize is that I do have better; I live in the United States. I have what so many people don't- Freedom, laws protecting my human rights, clean water, and $15.00 books :) Because God has blessed me so greatly and in numerous ways, I know that He wants me to go to Uganda and share His blessings.
I know God has great things planned for Uganda, and while I don't know how He is going to use me, or what exactly His plans are, I know Uganda is going to be changed. I'm not going to take money and throw it in the streets, but I am going to take my love, compassion, and joy and show the Ugandan people how Christ has changed my life using those three exact things.
So what do I know about Uganda?
I know Uganda belongs to God, and He is going to steal the hearts of the people there, and He is going to use me to help Him.
