Well hey there, so nice of you to stop by my blog! So, I'm Kiersten, and I'm twenty. I reside with my parents and younger sister right outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. That picture of me is when I graduated highschool two years ago, in 2009. After I graduated high school I went to a local community college. I took last year off, and re-enrolled for summer semester with business management as my major. I also work full time at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, my time split between serving and shift leading. When school was still in session I was a volunteer youth leader in my church's youth group for the 8th grade girls.
The things in life I enjoy doing most are reading, watching movies and staring at the stars. I really dislike waking up early, my favorite color is green, I adore choral music, I think feet are disgusting but I hate wearing shoes, and my hair is no longer long and black like in the posted photo because I am always changing it. I have been on one mission trip before, three years ago, to San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for approximately ten days. Now I'm going to tell you why I am nervous about this Uganda trip- I am nervous because Uganda is going to be so different from Honduras; I was in Honduras for ten days, I'll be in Uganda for three months; I went to Honduras with people I had known for years, and I haven't yet met anyone I'll be going to Uganda with. I know God is taking me so far outside of my comfort zone because he has so much to teach me. I'm excited to see what God wants me to learn. I have NO idea what that's going to be, but I know it's going to be good. So I am going to give myself up to be the hands and feet of the Father.
